TMJ Treatment

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ)  disorders are medical problems related to the jaw joint. The TMJ connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull (temporal bone) in front of the ear. Chewing is controlled by the muscles of mastication. Problems with this complex joint and these muscles can cause head and neck pain, chewing problems, a jaw locked open or closed, and noises (Clicking and Popping).

While noise alone is not a significant problem, accompanied by pain it can be a debilitating situation.
There Is a Disc that is located between the upper and lower jaw. The following video shows proper movement of this disc in the first half of the video. The second half of the video shows a displacement of the disc. This displacement results in noise from the joint and possibly pain as well.
